What a busy week we have had..
On Monday morning Poppets children looked at the Hungry Caterpillar book, wrote shopping lists and went off to the market to buy all the fruit that the caterpillar ate over the week to have for our snacks. In the afternoon we made caterpillars from tissue circles.
On Tuesday we made bread as a reminder of the Little Red Hen Story. We discovered that yeast  and warmth makes the bread rise and although it takes a long time to cook it is worth waiting for. we made a very long caterpillar from a scarf, we named him wiggle wriggle.
On Wednesday we mixed blue and yellow paint to create green then printed circles to create a painted caterpillar, we cut cucumber circles to make a caterpillar we could eat!
On Thursday we had lots of fun in the garden discovering fungi growing on a tree stump, learnt a days of the week song and had a visit from Voice works.  Friday  was dolly Lucy's birthday party and chance for us to recap on our learning.

Next week we continue with The Hungry Caterpillar story look out for butterfly paintings and crafts!
